About LaRevolt
LaRevolt is a card game I've played with friends and family for about 30 years. It's the kind of game that comes out after dinner and keeps going until late: easy to explain, quick to play, and always a little unfair to whoever is winning. Somewhere along the way the Revolution became our favorite rule. Three 3s, and the player who was sure of winning is suddenly holding the weakest cards at the table.
I wanted more people to be able to play it, wherever they are. So LaRevolt is now a free game in your browser at larevolt.com, with an Android app on the way. You can practice against bots, which work offline and were built from the way experienced players actually play, then take on friends at a private table or real players online.
What makes it different
- The Revolution: once per game, the card order can flip, and the weakest cards rule.
- The exchange: between games, the loser hands their best cards to the winner, and the winner may offer up to four cards for the loser to choose from.
- Fair and free: no purchases, no pay-to-win. Points are for fun and tournaments, with no money value.
Who makes it
LaRevolt is designed by Daniel Leemor and published by OneStopReal LLC. The card art and portraits were created with AI image tools, under the game's own art direction; the rules, the design and the bots' strategy come from decades of playing.
